Staff members and students of North-Caucasus federal university took part in the International exhibition and congress «Proiabloko2020», innovative technologies and equipment for growing, storing and selling apples». The event was held in the multifunctional exhibition complex «MinvodyEKSPO».

The participants, scientific and educational institutions, representatives of the companies in the industry, trade enterprises and equipment suppliers, discussed the prospects of industrial gardening in Russia, specialist training, and scientific production support. There were held exhibitions, the congress and meetings in the framework of the event.

The largest university in the region initiated the panel discussion «The role of academic and scientific organizations in human resources formation and competitiveness improving in the field of horticulture».

– The speech of the university representatives focused on the analysis of the current professional standards for specialists in the field of horticulture and crop production, as well as requirements for training results in accordance with the active federal state educational standards in the field of agronomy, – said the director of the Institute of Life Science, Andrei Bratsikhin. – We have proposed the paths for professional skills formation at the universities of the region which are required by a modern employer.

The students of the Institute of Life Science and the Institute of Service, Tourism and Design of Piatigorsk took an active part in the panel session and expressed their opinion regarding horticulture development in Stavropol. The university specialists also told about NCFU research areas that can help horticultural organizations in solving plant protection problems and processing of manufactured products.

The event was organized by the International school of modern gardening, the Association of nurserymen and gardeners of Stavropol territory.
