NCFU Representative in Finals of Leaders of Russia Contest
Kirill Cherkess (postgraduate student, NCFU) has advanced to the finals of the Leaders of Russia Contest, which is one of the flagship projects at the Russia – Land of Opportunities Presidential Platform.
Leaders of Russia is an open contest for those to be leaders of the next generation – the ones to guide the country.
The contest this time was held online, as a computer test, where various aspects were evaluated – from generic competencies to management potential.
– All the tasks were interesting indeed, I could say, – Kirill Cherkess was quoted as saying. – The general knowledge test, for instance, required knowledge in diverse areas – from History to Geography and Arts, and even implied some logic-involving tasks.
As a result, over 2,000 contestants advanced to the semi-finals who were gathered again for another online test, which left only 127 students from 29 Russian regions advancing further.
As Kirill noted, successful completion of the tasks took leadership skills, too, along with ability to work in a team.
The next day was busy indeed – a lot of events including panel discussions and speeches delivered by recognized experts in various areas. And Kirill, of course, put his best foot forward, eventually advancing to the final stage.
– For me, this contest has proven some unique experience, – Kirill emphasized. – Joining a community of Russian young leaders is a great honor, and now I am looking forward to meeting the tutors of the Leaders of Russia, who, I hope, will let me understand more about how to develop my growth trajectory – both personal and professional.
