As the Russian Academy of Sciences delegation visits Stavropol, the NCFU arranged them a special tour around the local dairy plant, where most of the production know-hows come from the NCFU – the biggest supplier of qualified staff employed in the respective professional field.

One of the projects run by the NCFU and the Stavropolsky Dairy Plant is the production of lactulose and functional prebiotics, the products used in more than a few industries – from baby nutrition to veterinary.

This, as Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) noted, is a perfect example of substituting foreign products with national ones.

“The lactulose used in Russia in food and medicine areas was imported for a long time. Now, our joint project is not just to meet the national needs, yet also advance to the market abroad, - Mr. Bespalov was quoted as saying.
