NCFU delegation, together with Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) had a visit to Abkhazia to discuss both academic and research cooperation, which is already going on.

 – We have been in a really good cooperation since 2014, with over 2,500 employees from education trained at the courses arranged by NCFU. This year’s plans include going further, as well as holding a number of events for youth, – Dmitry Bespalov was quoted as saying.

Besides, Prof. Bespalov had a meeting with Mikhail Shurgalin (Ambassador of Russia in Abkhazia), who noted that the academic initiatives promoted by NCFU not only serve to promote research yet also strengthen the relationships between the two countries.

After that, Prof. Bespalov held a number of meetings with Chair of Ministers Office and Assistant Minister of Education of Abkhazia to discuss numerous projects.

One event, which is to beheld this year and which will definitely attract basically anyone is a media-marathon for bloggers. It is to involve 1500 bloggers and journalists – from rookies to seasoned players.

Note: NCFU signed a cooperation agreement with the Academy of Science of Abkhazia in 2020, the cooperation embracing both research and education, and the result is to be seen now already – two international labs on bibliography, digital economy and legal issues have been established and are functioning well.

Besides, experts of NCFU and the Academy of Science of Abkhazia have already published over 200 research articles, many of them in internationally acclaimed journals.
