Prof. Igor Kryuchkov (Head of Dept for Foreign History, Political Studies and International Relations, NCFU) joined the Iran-Russia Relations within New Regional Context, which was held at the University of Tehran with experts from Iran, Russia, Qatar, Sweden and Uzbekistan attending the event. The conference focused on the relations shared by Russia and Iran, including various areas of cooperation and a range of issues involving the tensions in the South Caucasus region.

Numerous opinions were expressed, including that of Prof. Kryuchkov, whose speech focused on the relations between Iran and the areas of the North-Caucasus Federal Region in the 21^st Century. The speech stirred a lot of interest, once again showing that Iran and Russia, as two great and powerful countries, can involve all the available mechanisms to enhance their cooperation.
