NCFU Presents Degree Programs at EXPO-RUSSIA UZBEKISTAN
NCFU joined the EXPO-RUSSIA UZBEKISTAN online event attending a round-table discussion focusing on education in Russia, where the two countries – Russia and Uzbekistan – discussed how they could join their effort to benefit the most in education and research. NCFU did not just present degree programs available for students seeking a degree in Russia yet also offered a detailed description of how to earn double-diploma degrees.
The show itself was arranged by the two countries’ respective authorities and ministries, and even though held for a third time, it had to be held online due to the pandemic restrictions.
The issues touched upon through the round table included integration of the higher and secondary education systems of the two countries, admissions requirements in Russian universities, and many more things. Besides, NCFU shared its experience in implementing joint degree programs with universities in Uzbekistan offering two diplomas at successful completion.
– We have signed agreements with universities of Uzbekistan on launching 10 such programs, both for Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, – Lyudmila Alieva (Head of Department for International Cooperation) was quoted as saying. – In 2020 we admitted first students within six of them, and provided they complete the course successfully, they will be awarded diplomas both from NCFU (Russia) and the Samarkand State University (Uzbekistan). This year we are launching four more degree programs with universities of Uzbekistan. Besides, students from that country may take interest in the programs we are currently running with our partners from Italy and Germany. Students from Uzbekistan enjoy a full right allowing them to join the academic mobility programs that are currently available at NCFU.
NCFU is currently offering training to more than 400 nationals of Uzbekistan, while this cooperation is growing, with more newer agreements signed involving the top academic institutions.
