NCFU Offers Training in Medical Biophysics
Starting September this year, the newly launched Biophysics and Medical Engineering degree program is to be part of the training offered at the Faculty of Physics and Technology, NCFU.
Medical Biophysics is a complex area focusing on the arrangement of energy and substances at the biological level, and employs elaborate equipment that can have a serious effect on living beings.
The degree program in question is to be launched in partnership with the Siberian Federal University, while the contents of the training has been developed jointly with practicing experts of the Stavropol Regional Clinical Oncology Center, the Regional Clinical Hospital and the Medical Clinic of Stavropol, LLC, whereas one of the major aims pursued within the new program is to prepare biophysicists to be further employed at the Nuclear Medicine Center, to be established in the region.
