The North-Caucasus Federal University (NCFU) has launched a Young Leaders School in Turkey with over 70 youngsters joining the event.

Young Leaders School is an international academic project designed by the Federl University in order to promote the development of competencies in young people. The project implies that students of 30 universities of Turkey will undergo training aimed at shaping their leadership, team-building and other capacities.

When speaking at the opening ceremony, Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) noted that the Young Leaders School has already won its place as one of the most popular international projects.

– Notable is that this project has already been running successfully in some countries of the Middle East and Transcaucasia. It helps young people shape their leadership competencies as well as project running skills, which are truly important for joint socially valuable initiatives. I do believe that the Young Leaders School will promote friendship and mutual understanding between our countries, – Mr. Bespalov was quoted as saying.

Apart from the presentation of the best practices for raising young leaders to be held in the Russian House in Ankara, there are more events expected, namely, master-classes, training games and discussions focusing on leadership and project activities 

While staying in Turkey, Mr. Bespalov had a meeting with Aleksey Erkhov (Russia’s Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey) in order to discuss the most relevant issues in the area of education and the promotion of the Russian Language abroad.

Ambassador Erkhov expressed true gratitude to NCFU for the effort taken in promoting the Russian projects in Turkey as well as noted the success gained within a relatively short time
