North-Caucasus Federal University has launched another project aimed at promoting the Russian Language in Middle East – it took a few hours only for some Jordanians to start speaking a bit more of Russian.
The project is part of the University’s mission approved by Russian President in September, 2022.
– Russian President noted the need to enhance interest taken in Russian through international culture and research involving projects, and now we have launched this project in Jordan. I believe projects like this will help people know more about Russia, which is a good way to build scientific, cultural and other links between the two countries, – Prof. Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) was quoted as saying.

The visit paid by the Russian delegation to Amman (Jordan) also involved meeting Azmi Mahafzah, who is the Jordanian Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and who expressed high interest in building partnership with the academic circles of Russia.
As for those who are just studying to get their degrees, a set of Russian Language classes were held introducing the audience into the major basic grammar and vocabulary elements.

The Russian Language Days were arranged by NCFU jointly with the Russian Cooperation Agency (Rossotrudnichestvo), and now the next step is to hold online classes delivered by Russian experts.
Besides, the delegation of Russia held a meeting with the top management of Al-Balqaʼ Applied University – one of Jordan’s leading institutions in a number of areas.
