The first Russian-Syrian Youth Forum hosted by NCFU is over. The event, which brought together over 100 leaders representing student associations and NGOs focused on things like volunteering, youth in research and entrepreneurship and tourism.

Apart from the forum itself, the guests also had a chance to see and enjoy the beauty of the Caucasian Mineral Waters – the pearl of our region.

– The activities we held here added to the relationships between the two countries, and the results we have gained so far are to live further – we have a whole plan of actions for the year to come, – Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) was quoted as saying.

For the three days, young leaders worked within the 4 major areas: youth science, youth tourism, youth entrepreneurship and youth employment, and the best practices have been selected to be further implemented in the universities of both Russia and Syria.

The projects that proved the most significant ones, include ideas on establishing a psychological assistance service, career centers, and a center for international communication, which implies studying Russian and Arabic.

NCFU has active cooperation with Syria’s leading universities, namely, Al-Baath University, Al-Hawash University and Damascus University, with plans to promote jointly research in areas like oil & gas engineering, construction engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Medicine and Cosmetology.
