NCFU hosted the international conference INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, focusing on urgent issues in the oil and gas industry development, both in Russia and abroad.

The event brought together over 130 experts from various parts of Russia as well as from countries like Great Britain, Germany, Mexico, Japan, China, Vietnam, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, while the work was held both online and offline.

The 67 speeches delivered at the conference touched upon numerous things in the oil and gas industry, Geology and Paleontology, Ecology, Environmental Management and Protection, as well as Geoinformation Technologies in ethno-demographic processes in oil and gas producing area.

Besides, the experts had more than enough time to exchange experience and share ideas on potential cooperation, the result of that being an agreement with the University of Northumbria to create a center for studying climate change and water resources. Other cooperation projects include joint activities with the Ruhr University of Bochum (Germany) and with the LukOil company.

The participants moted the high level of the arrangements made for the conference, proof to that being that fact that next year the conference is to be held at NCFU once again.
