The North-Caucasus Federal University held Russian National Olympiad in Service & Tourism – an event that brought around over 450 schoolers and university students from 27areas of Russia as well as from 6 CIS countries.

The event included 2 stages – individual and team, and those lucky to scrape through the 1^st stage were allowed to join in teams presenting their projects, business ideas and research outcomes.

As Prof. Lev Ushvitsky (Director, Institute of Economics and Management) noted, tourism is a driver behind socio-economic and cultural progress in any country, so events like this is more than just another academic arrangement.
