NCFU Hosts Networking with SmartBuild
The NCFU Technopark hosted a meeting between the University’s students majoring in Engineering and the SmartBuild company.
The purpose of the event was to make both students and teachers aware of various creative projects available, as well as to encourage them to join numerous contests for talented youngsters (UMNIK, Student Startup, Start).

The SmartBuild company presented a list of projects, all of them implying both R&D and construction activities.
Special interest was taken in additive technologies in construction, namely layer-by-layer building walls with a 3D-printer.
As Vlaimir Kuzmenko (Director, Technopark) noted, this knowledge-based process will involve not students yet teachers as well, which means the entire task may shift towards the research area.
Now, given the huge interest revealed by students, further steps include the development of a whole-scale 3-D printer for construction works.
