The North-Caucasus Federal University hosted the Financial Festival – an event that attracted more than a few schoolers from the entire region.

The main purpose of the Festival was to offer support to children and youth as well as involve them into creative activities focusing on finance, stirring their interest in studying economy, as well as shaping rational financial behavior.

As the organizers noted, the event has become a traditional one and has been held since 2019, and has enjoyed support from the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Region (Improved financial literacy in the Stavropol Region and promotion of financial education for the years 2019-2023).

The participants were divided into groups based on their age. The youngest schoolers did puzzles and solved finance-related problems presented as fairy-tales, whereas their older friends enjoyed quizzes and logical tasks.

This type of activities allowed not checking the participants’ knowledge level yet also helped them enjoy themselves, after which the strict but fair Jury including the NCFU experts announced the winners:

• KOPECK Team (School 5, City of Stavropol) – category for Grades 1-4;
• City of Izobilny Team (School 19) – category for Grades 5-8;
• Novoaleksandrovsky Area Team (School 1) – category for Grades 9-11;
• Youth Team (School 5, City of Stavropol) – category for Grades 9-11.
