NCFU both co-organized and joined a Geography conference held in Uzbekistan.

Apart from NCFU, the event – Modern Geographic Research: Theory, Practice and Innovation – attracted other institutions from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Romania and Spain.

Anna Kuznetsova (Assistant Professor, Department for Socio-Economic Geography, Institute of Life Sciences) who represented NCFU, delivered a speech focusing on the classification of urban tourist areas in South Russia, which stirred lots of genuine interest.

– This international conference was a real success. I have attended many events like this yet I have never felt more welcome than here, and the speeches were interesting indeed, – Anna Kuznetsova noted, adding also that joining conferences is a great chance for young specialists to meet leading experts in the area.
