NCFU Facilitates Integration with Central Asia

North-Caucasus Federal University goes on integrating internationally, as Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) holds a meeting with Prof. Askar Akaev – one of the most notable politicians of Central Asia, the first President of Kyrgyzstan, where the two leaders discussed better international partnership, integration of the Russian education and enhanced cooperation in Central Asia.

– Friendship between our peoples and mutual improvement allow the two countries progress, while youngsters have a chance earn a degree they need and contribute to making our life better, – Askar Akaev was quoted as saying.
The discussion embraced a range of topics – from research promotion to joint projects with other institutions.

– While promoting international cooperation, we rely on the most outstanding experts in the area, and Askar Akaev is someone who can offer a perfect combination of political and academic experience, so I believe this partnership will help us promote research and education in Central Asia, – Dmitry Bespalov noted.

NCFU’s Academic Board awarded Prof. Akaev the title of Professor Emeritus, after which the Professor delivered a number of lectures focusing on Russian and Central Asian Cooperation – Historical Overview and Nowadays.
By the way, NCFU is one of the most popular institutions that Central Asians choose to earn a degree, and 68% of foreign students studying here currently are young people from Central Asia who do not just master academic skills yet are also involved actively in the social life here.
