As the outcomes of the EXPANSION contest come out, we are happy to announce good news – Vladimir Molodykh (Associate Professor, Department for Tax Policies and Customs, NCFU) is among the top winners of a contest that is aimed at enhancing the status of Russian research journals through publishing quality articles.

The contest held by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research was no piece of cake and the candidates had to scrape through a selection procedure, which attracted over submissions this year, of which the top 500 were selected.

– I have been involved in this kind of research for over five years now, - Vladimir was quoted as saying. – I have already won grants from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research twice, and then I focused studying shadow economy and tax evasion in the North Caucasus. My experience shows that there is a lot of interest taken in the issue, and studies like these are a merger point for several areas like Economics, Sociology, Political Studies and Psychology.

Now the work written by Vladimir is going to be published in a Russian journal, which enjoys a high citation index.
