NCFU will now train experts to be further employed at PDVSA – one of the largest oil companies with a great effect on the economy and social life in Venezuela, which has its oil production facilities in Middle East, Central Asia and South Caucasus.

The interest in mutual cooperation was first taken early May this year at an investment show where Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) met the management of PDVSA, after which, Prof. Bespalov held a meeting with Jogliz Martinez (CEO, PDVSA) in Moscow, telling the top manager about the training offered to oil and gas engineers at NCFU (including degree programs in English) and outlining areas for potential cooperation.

– The demand for oil and gas training offered at NCFU growing year after year, specifically among students coming from foreign countries, so starting September this year NCFU will launch a new Faculty Oil & Gas Engineering to focus on promoting this promising area. I am sure our cooperation with colleagues will help us arrive at some breakthrough thus contributing to the progress of the two countries, – Prof. Bespalov noted at the meeting.
