NCFU held an Academic Council meeting to discuss both the last year’s major outcomes and the plans for this year.

The event, which was subject to strict anti-pandemic measures, started with electing Deans of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy and the Faculty of Physics and Technology – Alexander Aksenov and Valentina Volkova, respectively.

After that, the members of the high Council reviewed the results of research and innovation activities, also paying special attention to work on the strategic development for NCFU. One point that was considered of critical importance is maintaining the high level of the University’s recognition globally – NCFU now is among top academic institutions in world rankings, and it is crucial to further promote the status.

When speaking to his colleagues, Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) noted that the University is now working hard to get back to the conventional mode of functioning:

– We have launched the procedure to get back to our traditional format, while we are still working in a mixed one. And to get back we need some preparation, so I do believe that each of you will take it seriously.
