NCFU hosted the 2nd Russian National Conference Fundamental issues of information security under digital transformation. The event was held on the International Day of Data Protection, which is traditionally celebrated on Nov 30 all over the world.

The event brought together candidates from 42 leading universities of Russia, federal and regional authorities, and even from the National Association for international information security.

When addressing the participants, Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) noted:

This conference focuses on relevant issues of information security in the Russian Federation, as well as on regulatory and academic support for training personnel to be further employed in the digital economy. Nowadays, our University is known, among other things, for its outstanding research in the field of information technology. In recent years, NCFU experts have launched a number of major research and innovation projects aimed at developing the digital ecosystem in Russia and all over the North Caucasus.

The participants discussed a number of issues including blockchain technologies and artificial intelligence for the investigation of cybercrime.
