The NCFU Public Opinion Monitoring Center presented the results of an analysis of the information field of the North Caucasus Federal District for June 2026. Experts assessed the resonance of information guides based on the indicator of social engagement and identified key events in each region.

In the Republic of Dagestan, the leader in involvement was the detention of a teenager who acted as the administrator of the largest international terrorist network. The story of the first graduate who scored 300 points in three subjects on the Unified State Exam received no less response. Residents also reacted warmly to the news about the delivery of humanitarian aid from Dagestan to Ingushetia to flood victims.

A heroic story has become the leader of Ingushetia's media campaign: Thousands of volunteers from all over the Caucasus joined together to find 8‑year-old Khizir Derbichev. The boy jumped into the water to save his friends, and disappeared. The search stirred up the entire region, and the decision of the head of Ingushetia to perpetuate the name of the young hero caused a wide public response.

In the Kabardino‑Balkarian Republic, the achievement of Russian mountaineer Alina Pekova received the greatest resonance – her name was included in the Guinness Book of Records. In addition, residents actively discussed the rescue of a girl by police officers from a pack of dogs, as well as the rock climbing festival "Rocks of Russia. Elbrus 2026", which attracted the attention of outdoor enthusiasts.

In the Karachay‑Cherkess Republic, the news that the tourists who disappeared in the mountains were found alive became the most striking information channel. The positive agenda was complemented by the Dawns of the Caucasus Children's Creativity festival in Cherkessk and the opening of an ethno‑style multimedia stop — the project aroused the interest of both local residents and guests of the republic.

In the Republic of North Ossetia–Alania, Vladimir Putin's meeting with the head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo, caused a significant public outcry. According to the NCFU Central Research Institute, in June 2026, the greatest public response was caused by: security issues and countering terrorism, heroic deeds and rescue stories uniting residents of different regions, state recognition of the merits of residents of the district (awarding titles, awarding orders), sporting achievements and records of fellow countrymen that arouse a sense of pride, as well as interregional mutual assistance in conditions of natural disasters.
