Innovative Military Dry Ration Developed at NCFU
The NCFU experts jointly with the Stavropol Presidential Military School have enjoyed more than a few years of cooperation developing various products to help those serving in the military.
One of such projects is the development of innovative foods with longer expiration time and higher nutritional value.
– Our experts have developed products that can already be used as part of the currently used military dry ration. One of the major conditions to be observed when developing such products is the shelf life – a minimum of 2 years. This is extremely important for military people – good nutrition under any conditions, – Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) was quoted as saying.
The study implied enriching with vitamins canned meat, as well as developing new types of pate, processed cheese, bread, and various cereals that are part of the daily dry rations.
