Digital Competencies Are Priority Tasks
The North-Caucasus Federal University hosted a strategic session on Demand for Digital Competencies in University Graduates.
The event brough together experts representing the regional Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Communications, the Ministry of Education as well as from a number of other agencies and institutions including teachers and students.
During the session, the experts focused of identifying the professional and supra-professional competencies that are in the greatest demand when it comes to employing specialists for digital economy.
– Thanks to constant interaction and cooperation with employers, who are always involved in developing our degree programs, we shape in our students the right digital competencies. This is also done at the basic departments established specially at respective enterprises. Currently, we have 42 such departments at our disposal, – Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) was quoted as saying.
The session was concluded with the presentation of a newly developed model of competencies and ideas on bridging the gap between the competencies demonstrated by university graduates and the employers’ expectations.
