The City of Zheleznovodsk hosted a meeting where an agreement was signed, which implies launching the HUMAN CAPITAL AND NEW ECONOMY FOR POLYETHNIC REGIONS Consortium of universities. This idea was supported by rectors of 17 academic institutions representing all the areas of the North Caucasus. The consortium is to focus on research, academic, management, social and cultural aims, while the entire idea was inspired by the NCFU management.
– Our University has carried out some research focusing on human capital development in the North Caucasus, – Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) noted. – The outcome revealed that we are witnessing an outflow of youngsters leaving the region each year, so we proposed consolidating the academic community’s efforts in order to resolve the issue, and focus now on developing solutions to increase our competitive capacity as well as on designing an environment that would be comfortable for university graduates.
During the agreement signing ceremony, the decision was adopted to appoint Mr. Bespalov Chairperson of the Consortium.
