Today, together with Arina Morozova, an NCFU student, we are travelling to the University of Debrecen, Hungary.

Once Arina came to study Global Economy, she has always strived to gain experience in an international company or a foreign academic institution, which is in a perfect line with the degree program sha has opted for. When she applied to the International Office of NCFU, the experts helped her go through all the stages of winning a Tempus Stipendium Hungaricum grant offered by the Government of Hungary, and so the whole story started.

– The choice was not a hard one – I have always wanted to attend a university with perfect ratings and many foreign students, so the University of Debrecen is exactly what I wanted, – Arina shared.

The University is based in Debrecen – the second largest city of Hungary, and the entire place is full of students as most of the area is the campus.

Students could compose their own curriculum by choosing the subjects in the beginning of the term, and could even choose a schedule that would fit then best.

– Apart from the subjects related directly to my future job, I also could study languages – I opted for Hungarian and Chinese, and another subject I took up was the History of EU. There were lots of students from the ex-Soviet Union, so I did not really miss home, and there is always someone to offer you a helping hand when you are feeling alone, – Arina was quoted as saying.

However, it was not the studies alone that Arina enjoyed, but also an entertainment program, which in her case was travelling around Hungary and even abroad – now Arina has countries like Slovakia, Czechia and Austria on her have-visited list, and guess where she travelled for the New Year party… Italy!
