Foreign students of NCFU visit the main sights of the North Caucasus. This opportunity was given to them by the university as part of the summer health campaign.

A project is being implemented at the North Caucasus Federal University to organize trips throughout the North Caucasus for foreign students who are unable to travel abroad on vacation due to the pandemic and ban of air travel between countries. The project is carried out by the International Cooperation Office and the Educational Work Office with the support of the Department of Socio-Economic Geography, Geography and Tourism and the Student Welcome-center of NCFU. 

On August 13, the first group of foreign students, including representatives of 6 institutes and a preparatory department, visited the Arkhyz resort. The delegation included students from Botswana, Gabon, Ghana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Malawi, Swaziland, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Republic of South Africa

During the excursion, the young people climbed 500 steps along the stairs leading to the unique medieval rock carvings of the face of Jesus Christ. In addition, the students visited the youngest of the ski resorts in Russia ATRC Arkhyz, where they climbed 2504 meters above sea level by cable car, took memorable photos against the background of a beautiful panorama of the snow-capped cliffs of the North Caucasus and hiked along an ecological path with a length of 7.5 kilometers.

During August, groups of foreign students will also visit the resorts of the Caucasian Mineral Waters, Arkhyz, Teberdinsky Nature Reserve and Chegem Waterfalls.
