Yong designers of NCFU have presented their unique collection of clothes, which is a perfect combination of modern trends and ethnic elements.

The turn for traditional values so obvious nowadays cannot but imply growing interest in ethnic costumes, crafts and style in general.

– This new collection offered by our young designers is a unique culture-based product with a strong Caucasian accent, which is getting more and more popular among youngsters. Traditional ethnic clothes have already become part of the Caucasian peoples’ festive culture, and yet the ethnic style is now getting successfully integrated into what we wear every day. I am sure the collections offered by our designers will make a huge contribution into the region’s cultural progress, – Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) was quoted as saying.

It is to be noted that the clothes inspired by Circassian culture were designed by Eldar Khagazheev, which is the Leader of the Highlander dance group (NCFU). Besides, students of the NCFU Higher School of Creative Industries have also created an unusual collection based on ethnic elements – T-shirts with national proverbs and sayings in different languages, as well as jeans with Caucasian ornaments. The young designers followed the upcycling principle, which implies making new clothes from older ones. Given the growing interest in protecting the environment, this approach is becoming a promising trend in the fashion industry.
