Digital Economy and e-Education: The European Experience

 

Aim

The project is to involve European and Russian experts, specialists, researchers and students to the introduction of European knowledge and experience of e-educational technologies in the field of Economy in Russian educational environment. It will create new opportunities for businesses and education.

The academic staff of the Institute of Economics and Management of North-Caucasus federal university.

 

Duration

2 years (2018 – 2020)

 

Activity

  1. Visiting the partner universities (study tour) to study and exchange experience in:
  • e-marketing tools applied to e-education at European universities;
  • pros and cons of methods of e-education;
  • fundamentals of European approaches to the digitalization of education on the example of the partner universities;
  • e-technologies and platforms for e-education forms.
  1. Holding the III Winter Business School “Digital Economy, Management and Finance: a modern manager’s professional skills development” on NCFU basis. It was attended by leading Russian and foreign experts, researchers and students and included discussion panels, master classes, open lectures and business quests on digital economy.
  2. Holding the conference "Digital Economy and e-Education: The European Experience" as a final stage of the project.

 

Planned results

To implement in NCFU educational environment:

  • innovative methods and educational technologies,
  • European software for business processes analysis and the system of decision making;
  • information and communication technologies of economy digital development.

European resource saving trends in Computer Science teacher training

 

Description

Since 2017 the educational module "European resource-saving trends for computer science teachers training” is implemented at NCFU Department of Informatics. The module is to be introduced in the bachelor training program for the students majoring in Pedagogy.  

 

Aim

The project is to prepare the students for resource-saving activity and introduce innovative educational methods based on resource-saving technologies and green IT used in the European Union in training process of educational institutions of the region.

The academic staff of the Institute of Information Technologies and Telecommunications of North-Caucasus federal university.

3 years (2017-2020)

 

Activity

2017-2018

  • creation of a distant platform with lecture and practical material of the module (https://el.ncfu.ru) and a website in Russian and English (http://etr-project.org) with the information on main project events;
  • workshops, conferences and an international symposium for Computer science teachers;
  • report of the achieved results in the publications approved by Higher Attestation Commission and international database Scopus;

2019-2020

  • maintenance of the website and distant platform;
  • development of lecture and practical material, its translation into English and creation of training guides in print and electronic forms;
  • holding master classes at Summer IT School, workshops, conferences, discussion panels for the students and teachers of the region;
  • invitation of foreign experts for lecturing on the project;
  • participation in Russian and international conferences to disseminate project results.

Food Safety Regulation in the European Union

 

Description

The project includes the educational module "Food safety Regulation in the European Union" that covers the study of the aspects of food legislation of the European and Customs unions:

  • requirements for food control and the methods of its implementation;
  • requirements for food quality;
  • requirements for food marking;
  • new food products with associated products and materials requiring special permission;
  • food safety criteria and requirements for laboratory control.

The module comprises 120 academic hours and 3 disciplines: “Legislation in the field of food safety”, Food safety criteria and requirements for laboratory control” and “Food additives and food marking”.  

 

Aim

The project is to share experience of innovative methods of laboratory control of food safety of the European Union with NCFU students and teachers and implement them in the university educational process.

3 years (2018-2021)

  • holding practical classes on the discipline “Legal framework of food safety”
  • invitation of foreign experts for lecturing on the project;
  • holding workshops, discussion panels and conferences for the students and teachers of the region;
  • participation in Russian and international conferences to disseminate project results.
