Instructions for applying for admission to the North Caucasus Federal University

Fill in online application form for preliminary registration. We will guide you through application system.

  1. High school certificate or diploma (with examination results or transcript) or vocational education diploma (with transcripts) + Consular legalization/Apostille (if necessary) and notarized translation into Russian.

  2. Passport copy and notarized translation into Russian.

  3. Application to enter NCFU.

  4. Consent to submit personal document data to NCFU.


If you select programme in English – pass online two entrance examinations. 

If you select programme in Russian and need a Russian language course first enter our Foundation programme (no exams).

International education office will send you the contract (learning agreement) and guide you to the payment system.

After receiving the confirmation of payment the department will apply for an Invitation Letter for you.

The Invitation Letter is issued by the Migration office in app 30 days. It is a necessary document to receive the Russian visa. The Invitation Letter will be sent to you in electronic format by email.

Meanwhile, find out from your nearest Russian Embassy what documents you need to supply with your education visa (Business visa or any other visas are not suitable for this purpose). It is recommended that you start preparing your documents well in advance as it may be a lengthy process. It is important that you receive your visa at the Embassy indicated in the Application form.

Inform International Education Department at least one week prior your arrival on the dates and flights you plan to come. We will organize you meeting at the airport. You do need to take care on migration formalities within 3 days after your arrival (address passport and visa department of NCFU).

You need  

  • International passport
  • Migration card (received upon crossing the border of Russia)
  • Set of copies of migration card and all pages of passport
  • Medical insurance (purchased upon arrival)
