President of Russia Vladimir Putin visited North-Caucasus Federal University

January 25, 2016, on the Day of Russian Students, President of Russia Vladimir Putin visited North-Caucasus Federal University.

- It is important that you, guided by your mentors, should keep up this high level of the knowledge and use that. Proper interaction between the University and those who will be your employers, business – all this is extremely important, and there is no advance without that. I am happy to wish you a lot of good luck! – Vladimir Putin was quoted as saying.

The best students had a meeting with President where they could express their ideas, one of them being the development of an attachment to the graduation certificate that would display record of all the achievements of a graduate, including his team work and creative capacity. Other issues discussed included introduction of military training for students, improving sports facility infrastructure, and even establishing a techno-park for children on the premises of NCFU.

Rashad Salhab, the Chair of Association for foreign students of Stavropol, expressed his gratitude to President for the military support offered to the Government of Syria as well as for a chance to study at the post-graduate course in Russia, to which Vladimir Putin replied that all those foreign students studying in Russia should deliver their newly acquired knowledge back home for the best benefit of their own countries.

Besides, Vladimir Putin visited the laboratories of NCFU to see the recent advances in the area of robotics and photovoltaic, as well as visited the so-called Area of Mutual Understanding – a training site for future teachers studying to help disabled people.
