NCFU students had a perfect chance to try their English skills as they joined the annual English language dictation held for higher educational institutions.
The event has been held for five years now following an initiative by the Institute for International Relations together with the Department for Youth Policy of the Kazan Federal University, while the purpose of it is to boost students’ motivation to study foreign languages.
In 2020, the project brought together over 22,000 students coming from more than 79 areas of Russia.
– This year’s dictation was held online, and the participants were up to the top standard, – Oksana Shibkova (Head of Dept of Foreign Languages for Humanities and Natural Science disciplines, NCFU) was quoted as saying.
The results helped identify 100 best students including Jamilya Bairamukova (bilingual training program student, Institute of Economics and Management, NCFU), while other prize winners from NCFU were:
- Tamara Tatarenko (Institute of Law, NCFU)
- Viktoria Tyutyunnikova (Institute of Economics and Management, NCFU)
