NCFU and University of Ljubljana Launch Joint Degree Program
NCFU has signed an agreement with the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) subject to which a new Master’s Degree program is to be launched. This program is meant for those seeking to master food safety and engineering skills. Those completing the program, successfully will be awarded two diplomas – one from each partner-institution.
The initial idea was approved in December 2019, when an NCFU delegation, led by Dmitry Bespalov (Rector, NCFU) visited the University of Ljubljana.
– This new program is really unique and viable, – Natalia Oboturova (Acting Director, Institute of Life Science, NCFU) was quoted as saying. – Together with our partners we will be offering training to raise top experts thus contributing to ensuring food safety. And this education will include a lot of practical skills training.
The training will be delivered in English – the first-year students will spend in their home university, while as they advance to the second year, they will travel to the partner institution abroad.
The first batch is to be enrolled in 2022 – five students from each university, whereas one of the major eligibility criteria is a good command of English (B2 Level).
The two institutions’ further plans include expanded academic mobility and wider cooperation in many areas.
