Margarita Namirovskaya, an NCFU student majoring in Translation Studies, has won the Russian national contest of scientific texts held in the City of Tara.
The event brought together 168 students representing various academic institutions of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Izhevsk, Pskov, Kaluga, Ulyanovsk, Yekaterinburg, Kursk, Stavropol and many other cities, while the Jury were top experts with extensive experience in Linguistics and translation. The works were evaluated based on a number of factors – from translation accuracy to spelling and punctuation, and after this tough competition Margarita emerged as the winner.
– I joined the contest rather spontaneously, and I never expected the outcome to be so great. The first version of my translation was far from good, yet, given the support from my supervisor, I managed, – Margarita shared her impressions.
The contest was organized by the Branch of the Omsk State Pedagogic University in the City of Tara.
