NCFU teachers and students have joined the national campaign The Paw of Friendship, which is held in the region as part of the Constitution Volunteers project.
The purpose of the event was to offer support to homeless animals from shelters since given the pandemic, many NGOs lost their funding from sponsoring companies, so over 200 pets need help.
– We had to arrange some support online yet we had to face even delivery issues, - Valentina Kot (animal shelter founder) said.
As for NCFU, both the teachers and students arranged donation of funds, animal feed and medicines. Those who could not join personally donated money, so a day’s event resulted in 50 kg of feed and other things that were delivered finally to the shelter.
– WE are happy so many people responded to our appeal, – Inessa Grechman (Head of Student Associations Center) was quoted as saying. – This, of course, is not enough even for a month but if other companies join the campaign then together we could save hundreds of animals. It’s time for each of us to do something good.
