The NCFU experts organized the project activity school, which was held in the Russian House in Beirut (Lebanon), with lots of Russian-speaking Lebanese youngsters joining the event.
The event program included lectures and master-classes aimed at shaping leadership skills, project work capacity, teamwork and strategic thinking.
The list of speakers included Alena Dernovaya (Head of Center for Partner Projects & Staff Programs, NCFU), Elena Livenskaya (Head of Dept for Culture & Aesthetic Education, NCFU), and Ilya Karabanov (student, Faculty of Physics & Mathematics, NCFU).
– Unlike similar projects launched in Russia for foreigners, which usually imply a limited number of people from different countries, this school allowed us to gather all interested children from completely different Lebanese cities, –Vadim Zaichikov (Head of the Russian Cooperation Agency office in Lebanon) noted.
As Mr. Zaichikov said, given the political and economic crisis in Lebanon, it is important to offer a helping hand to Russian-speaking young people, involving them in volunteer projects and offering help to those in need. Apart from work, however, the NCFU delegation could enjoy the beautiful views of Beirut and even have a tour around Byblos – one of the oldest cities in the world.
