NCFU Expands Cooperation with Uzbekistan

An NCFU delegation, including Dmitry Bespalov (rector, NCFU) is currently visiting Uzbekistan on a two-day business trip. While in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), the delegation had a meeting with the Rossotrudnichestvo (Russian Education Agency) discussing the achievements and future cooperation potential with the leading universities of Uzbekistan.

As Dmitry Bespalov noted, NCFU always holds its doors open for active and determined applicants coming from Uzbekistan, and the respective interest from them is growing year after year. Currently, NCFU is offering training to 462 Uzbekistanis, 150 of them having joined the university in 2020.


NCFU is already promoting actively cooperation with universities of the Republic, and the list of its partners includes National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, Samarkand and Ferghana State Universities, Navoi State Mining Institute, Bukhara Institute of Engineering and Technology, and the Silk Road International University of Tourism.

The Russian Education Agency was especially interested in developing joint degree programs. Last year, for instance, six joint Master’s Degree programs (Russian Language, Russian Literature, Territorial Planning and Organization of Tourist and Recreational Activities, Landscape Studies, Corporate Finance, Labor Economics and Personnel Management) were launched with Samarkand State University with two more programs – Sociology and Physical Education – waiting in the line, as well as another two Bachelor’s Degree programs (Computing, Software, Information Systems and Computer Technologies, Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence.)

NCFU has also built very fruitful cooperation with Bukhara Institute of Engineering and Technology, launching this year Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree programs in Tourism, Hotel Business, Product Technology and Catering, Economics, Electric Power and Electrical Engineering, Information Systems and Technologies.


– Our university is interested in expanding academic, research and humanitarian connections with Uzbekistan, – Dmitry Bespalov was quoted as saying, when introducing the Russian Education Agency representatives in the nearest plans. – We also are planning to pay special attention to promoting the Russian Language and Culture here, and we would be happy to join any projects run by the Russian Education Agency aimed at enforcing the collaboration between our countries.

Tomorrow the NCFU delegation is meeting the top management of Samarkand State University.
