Department for Advertising and PR, NCFU has advanced to the top of the Rating of Departments for Advertising & Adjacent Specialties-2020-2021 contest, which brought together over 100 experts from the respective areas.
Rating is a large-scale research, which is held annually by the Association of Communications Agencies of Russia – the largest organization functioning in the market of media, advertising, PR and marketing. The factors that were taken into account included the teaching staff, educational activities arrangements, educational and methodological activities, research activities and interaction with the industry.
– In the first years the top places were mostly taken by departments from Moscow and St. Petersburg universities. Now, however, we see among the winners more and more departments from other places, – Sergey Veselov (Vice-President, Association of Communications Agencies of Russia) was quoted as saying.
In 2019, the NCFU’s Department for Advertising and PR already was among the top best academic units, ranking the 7th best one, while now it has improved its position taking up to the fourth line and getting placed among the leading Russian universities, namely, Voronezh State University, Russian State University for the Humanities, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, State University of Management.
As Elena Ezhova (Head of Department for Advertising and PR, NCFU) noted, this is a serious achievement for the department, while being placed among the best academic institutions is not a matter of prestige only yet also entails serious responsibility.
