More Cooperation with Serbia to Come

NCFU delegation has had a visit to Serbia to join the GET YOUR KNOWLEDGE IN RUSSIA academic show as well as to hold negotiations with universities of Belgrade seeking academic mobility.

The NCFU delegation members were Vladimir Samoilenko (Head of Dept for international Projects and Programs) and Isidora Cebzanov (student, Institute of Education and Social Sciences, a national of Serbia), who presented NCFU degree programs. The event attracted more than a few representatives of Serbian youth and Russian citizens seeking to continue their studies at a Russian university.

– Here, at the show, we could see that Serbia takes a lot of interest in Russian degrees, – Mr. Samoilenko was quoted as saying. – Education in Russia is considered not expensive yet of very high quality, especially training within Master’s degree programs. The fields that enjoyed most interest from potential applicants here were Law, Linguistics and Translation, as well as Technological Safety. Other issues that proved of interest included earning double degrees in cooperation with some German or Italian university, as well as academic exchange potential that NCFU has to offer.

However, potential applicants are not the only group interested in contacts with NCFU. The Russian delegation also visited two leading universities of Serbia to hold meetings with the management, namely, with School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Applied Studies and Teaching Education Faculty of Belgrade University. The major focus was on academic exchange programs, which would serve a good start thus laying ground for more cooperation over time, involving teachers, joint grant applications and even degree programs.
