Foundation programme

 

About the Foundation course

The Foundation Course of NCFU runs studying programs for international students interested in learning or improving their Russian language skills. 

The program includes not only Russian language, but also subject trainings in the necessary disciplines of the students’ future specialization.

It is one-year program (2 semesters).

If you successfully complete the Foundation Course program, you will be able to apply to an undergraduate or postgraduate program in Medium Russian at the University.

 

Application for the Foundation Course 2020-2021 academic year:

Duration of study: October/ November 2020 – July 2021.

Start date: October-November.

Exams: July 2021.

Tuition: ₽ 90 000.

Application deadlines – 30 September.

 

Study Options:

 

FCE prepares students interested in undergraduate courses such as Applied Informatics, Infocommunication Technologies and Communication Systems, Oil and Gas Studies, Applied Geology, Technology for Geological Exploration, Construction, Electronics and Nanoelectronics, Power Industry and Electrical Engineering, Technology for Transport Process, Nanoengineering.

The Program consists of the following modules:

  1. Russian Language A1.
  2. Russian Language A2.
  3. Russian Language B1.
  4. Russian for Academic Purposes
  5. Mathematics
  6. Physics
  7. Computer Science.

 

 

FCS prepares students interested in undergraduate courses such as Mathematics and Computer Sciences, Physics, Cartography and Geo-Informatics, Land Management and Cadastre.

The Program consists of the following modules:

  1. Russian Language A1.
  2. Russian Language A2.
  3. Russian Language B1.
  4. Russian for Academic Purposes
  5. Mathematics
  6. Physics
  7. Chemistry.

 

FCMB prepares students interested in undergraduate courses such as Chemistry, Pharmacy, Animal Foods, Vegetable Foods, Medical Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology and other.

The Program consists of the following modules:

  1. Russian Language A1.
  2. Russian Language A2.
  3. Russian Language B1.
  4. Russian for Academic Purposes
  5. Mathematics
  6. Physics
  7. Chemistry.
  8. Biology.

 

FCH prepares students interested in undergraduate courses such as Linguistics, Advertisement and Public Relations, Political Studies, Philology, Translation Studies, Sociocultural work.

The Program consists of the following modules:

  1. Russian Language A1.
  2. Russian Language A2.
  3. Russian Language B1.
  4. Russian for Academic Purposes
  5. History.
  6. Literature.
  7. Social Science.

 

 

FCS prepares students interested in undergraduate courses such as Economics, Management, Business-Informatics, Service, Tourism.

How to apply

 

Entry requirements

Students may be admitted to the Foundation Course  based on Secondary education, vocationally oriented further or higher education.

 

Documents:

  1. Application form
  2. Copy of the document confirming your identity and citizenship
  3. Copy of the document detailing your education (diploma, transcript)

 

Applying Step by Step

 

  • Fulfill the application form.

  • Scan your document confirming identity and citizenship.

  • Scan documents detailing your education with their translation into Russian.

 

  • Send your application form and attach your scanned documents to e-mail ois@ncfu.ru.

  • Wait for an e-mail of conformation and the information on the following steps.

 

  • University will examine your documents not less than 10 working days. If your application is accepted, you will get an educational contract via the email given in the application form.
  • Print the contract; be sure to read all the information carefully.

  • If you yield with the terms of the contract, sign it, scan it into a .pdf file and send the file to the e-mail ois@ncfu.ru. If you need an invoice for payment, write about it.

 

  • University gets your contract, signs it and sends it to your e-mail. If you need an invoice, University gets it ready.

  • When you get the contract, pay the tuition fee within 10 days.

  • Send us a scan-copy of the payment order to the e-mail ois@ncfu.ru.

Important information! University starts the processing of invitation letter after receiving of the scan-copy of the payment order. The Ministry of Interior issues the invitation in digital form. You can get it via the e-mail given in the application form.

 

After paying the tuition fee you should prepare following documents that you should bring with you:

  • Documents detailing your education should be legalized in the Consulate of Russian Federation or have the "Apostille" stamp (more information about legalization you can find here: https://nic.gov.ru/en/proc/nic/legalize);

  • Medical certificate (including the results of examinations by GP, ophthalmologist, surgeon, ENT-specialist, neuropathologist, results of fluorography);

  • AIDS-certificate;

  • Certificate on vaccination;

  • 8 lusterless photos, size 3*4 cm.

Translate all documents into Russian.

 

  • When received the invitation letter apply for a visa at the Consulate of Russia;

  • Book tickets to Stavropol-City, Russia;

  • When you got your visa and tickets, write an e-mail to ois@ncfu.ru and inform us about your arrival, get further information.  

 

 

  • On arrival to Stavropol come to room # 214, dormitory # 8 (Stavropol-city, Kulakov Avenue 2/4). This is the office of the Department for Foundation Courses.

  • Be sure to bring your passport, migration card, educational documents, medical certificates and their translations to the office.

  • We assist you to fill in the application for admission to the university, original of your educational contract in the office.

  • You can get further information about dormitory accommodation and information about classes in the office.
