The North-Caucasus federal University is currently hosting the 2nd European Education Week, which also embraces the youth forum Internationalization of Education – Best Practices of International Academic Mobility. The events brought together over 500 coming from 34 universities of Russia, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Moldova, and Greece.

When opening the event Alina Levitskaya (Rector, NCFU) noted:

-The 2nd European Education Week is a project we run jointly with the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, and this year we are focusing on internationalization of education in order to discuss the mechanisms for incoming and outcoming student mobility, which is undoubtedly a factor that propels personal and professional growth. For this purpose we have invited here the best experts to share their best global practices with us and offer us more information about the available scholarships.

Besides, Alina Levitskaya shared a lot of interesting information about what NCFU has achieved in the global arena so far, including entering 109 agreements with academic and research organizations from 40 countries, and running joint degree programs with the world’s top universities such as the University of La Sapienza (Rome, Italy), the University of Heidelberg (Germany), the University of Lisbon (Portugal), and the technical University of Dresden (Germany). Besides, in 2014 NCFU launched the resource center for the French language, and 3 years later – a German DAAD Center.

Through the event the participants will deliver numerous seminars and lectures for students to help them become more successful in both finding the right scholarship programs and submitting applications to join such programs.
