European Education Week at NCFU

Date of material placement: 2-11-2017, 10:51.

The NCFU is hosting the European Education Week with around 70 experts from 27 universities of all over the world (Germany, Italy, France, Portugal, etc.) joining the event.

When opening the plenary session, Alina Levitskaya (Rector, NCFU) offered a brief account of the NCFU’s entering the international academic space – it took only 5 years to have the number of foreign students going up from 186 to 1,640. Another strong point earned by the NCFU is the bilingual programs and bilateral academic agreements signed with universities of 39 countries. Besides, the NCFU has launched a Center for French Language, which enjoys support from the Embassy of France, and is opening the DAAD Center for academic exchange programs.

Other participants also gave their high opinion of the achievements stating that Russia is an active member of the European academic movement, proof to that being at least the fact that over 11,000 Russian students have joined the Erasmus program, which is more than in any other country.

Further the event included training, seminars, and various discussions focusing on integration into the Russian and global academic community.
