NCFU Undergoing Practical Skills Training in Alpine resort

Tourism is one of the priority academic fields for North-Caucasus Federal University, which is to supply highly competent experts to be further employed in the respective sphere. For this purpose NCFU and the JSC Resorts of North Caucasus signed an agreement subject to which the students majoring in Tourism, Public Catering, and Hotel Management shall undergo special training to become true experts.

At the moment, NCFU and the JSC Resorts of North Caucasus have already launched a number projects where the said students get field placement in the recreation-tourist facility of Arkhyz.

The first group of trainees (30 persons) received their training during the Christmas Holidays.

The students here get training helping guests find their way in the facility, select the right equipment for skiing, and get their accommodation papers ready. Besides, the students are always in contact with the skiing instructors and the Emergency Service officers.

In the evening the students are welcome to hit the snow and ice skiing and snowboarding and skating.

The volunteer activity was highly appreciated by the hotels administration.

All in all over 100 will get the training.

The resort areas of Arkhyz are gaining popularity year after year, proof to that being the growing number of tourists coming to enjoy the white slopes, which entails more demand for experts to help all those people, and NCFU is right here to perform this complex yet rewarding task.
