The year of 2017 is coming closer, and each of us is hoping for positive change, no matter what our jobs, religions or social statuses are. And this is natural as New Year is the only event in the world that joins people all over the world, and has always joined through history. And each of us starts thinking, pondering over the events we have had in the year of 2016, which is coming to an end. This year has been full of various experiences and emotions, just like any other year before, and the experiences were different, both happy and sad. Thinking over the passing days we want to have less of the unexpected in the future, even though we do understand that there will be more of simple weekdays than holidays. But we really want to hope that happy days will happen more often.

Let your older ones make you happy with high spirits, perfect moods, and warm smiles, while your younger ones make you proud of their success and honest victories in their studies, sports, and labor.

For our people this year was a special one – it started on January 25, 2016 – Tatyana’s Day, with a visit paid by Vladimir Putin. And our meeting with the President offered us a huge impetus in academic, scientific, and research activities. And the year came to its end with the Forum of the V Global Russian Congress that we hosted here, at NCFU. At the Forum we heard repeatedly that here, in the North Caucasus, we can see the maintenance and promotion of those unique culture code dominants that make us all a single nation called RUSSIA. When speaking of the lessons we have drawn from the last century, once again we analyzed the historical events  proving the mental adherence demonstrated by the peoples of the Caucasus to patriotism, collectivism, and the best principles of the Russian country.

Dear fellows and dear colleagues!

I am happy to wish every single family in the Stavropol area, in the North Caucasus, as well as in Russia a lot of well-being, health and good luck. And may this New Year make you happy with new interesting meetings, facts, and events.

Happy New Year!
