Evgheny Nuikin, Head of Police Department for Stavropol City, had a meeting with students at NCFU.

-Meetings like this one have already become a tradition, - Dmitry Sumskoy (First Pro-Rector, NCFU) was quoted as saying.

As Mr. Nuikin noted, the point of the meeting was, first of all, to inform the students about the most common types of fraud in order to help them avoid being cheated. 2015 witnessed a serious rise in the number of telephone-and network-related crimes, while the total sum of the money cheated out of too trustful citizens amounted RUR 30 mln with only a tenth of this amount being returned to the lawful owners.

The most common types of cheating, according to Evgheny Nuikin, included telephone calls ("Your close person is in trouble”) and SMS ("Your bank card has been blocked”).

Another serious issue discussed was drugs that that were the reason behind 3 deaths of young people (aged 22-30).

In conclusion, Head of Police Department for Stavropol City asked students to be on high alert and to deliver the information to their closest people and friends.
