Regional Authorities Meeting Freshmen

NCFU hosted a meeting that gathered freshmen from other regions of Russia, and representatives of the local authorities and the NCFU Administration. The major issues discussed focused on the traditions of the North Caucasus, the code of ethics for NCFU students, academic discipline, and crime prevention.

Vladimir Magin (Pro-Rector for Educational Activities, NCFU) noted that this year NCFU opened its doors to students of 52 regions of Russia and 41 countries, and the University is doing its best to help them all adjust to the new life – those coming here have to maintai9n their own identity as well as come across the local traditions and mentality. It takes special knowledge of the local culture to evaluate the proper way something that people of other cultures, and we cannot expect everyone fit our own mold.

Mr. Magin mentioned that NCFU adopted its Code of Ethics, which was approved last year.

Later at the end of the meeting he also said that there is no place for provocative behavior patterns or radical religious or political views. NCFU is a place offering its students all they need to develop their potential in sports, science, and creativity, and this is the right to use this chance.
