Four teachers of the Dept for Social and Cultural Service and Tourism (Institute of Economics & Management) as well as one person from Institute of service, Tourism, and design (Pyatigorsk) received training at LucerneUniversityof AppliedSciences (Switzerland). The training was focused on Management in Tourism, yet each of the trainees also got special individual training within specific academic modules – Oksana Belozerova studied Economics & Business Planning in Tourism; Yulia Miryushkina dwelled on Strategic Management and Logistics; Yulia Khalipova’s area of study was Hotel Management; Anton Romaev studied Professional Ethics and Etiquette, while Evgheny Avdeev fathomed Geography in Tourism.

Once back the teachers had a meeting with Dmitry Sumskoy (First Pro-Rector), where they shared their impressions and the newly acquired ideas that are to be implemented at our University now. Mr. Sumskoy, in turn, noted that NCFU has developed a powerful tourist resource and training centre, while the graduates of the respective majors shall enjoy special demand in the North Caucasus labour market in view of the resort areas that are being developed in the region.

– We have established good contacts and we are on perfect terms with our foreign strategic partners, we have qualified teaching staff with many of them trained abroad, and we have a great academic base. Now the important thing is to make our curricula within all the areas of this field (Service and Tourism) match the current demand from the employers, and this is where we are carrying out serious work, - Dmitry Sumskoy was quoted as saying.
