Date of material placement: 24-02-2015, 15:18.
NCFU has started the 2nd European Law Winter School (EULINC), which is a joint venture of NCFU and the University of Graz (Austria).

The audience includes 22 students of the Institute of Law (NCFU) who were selected from among many, which the lecturers are sevcen European and Russian experts.

In his opening speech, Dmitry Sumskoy (First Pro-Rector, NCFU) appreciated the support and willingness to cooperate demonstrated by the University of Graz – the School is a result of the close cooperation between the two institutions.

The first lectures were delivered by Prof.Thomas Kruessmann (Director, Russian,EastEuropean&EurasianStudiesCentre) of the Universityof Graz. As he stated, the Caucasus and Transcaucasia is an area where the European and Eurasian integrations come together, so this is an area of "frozen” conflicts, which have not found many proper solutions so far:

- We are now going through a stage of Eurasian integration, and this useful experience, so we would like students to get more knowledge in order to make their contribution into resolving the issues in the future. Working with students is always an interesting challenge, and it is important to teach them how to find access to the issues, and how to ask questions and look for the answers.

Another point the Austrian expert noted is that students should work regularly on their English language skills.
