International Mother Language Day at NCFU

Date of material placement: 11-02-2015, 10:36.
NCFU hosted a round-table discussion to mark the International Mother Language Day, which brought together students of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Angola, Portugal, Iraq, Syria, and many other countries.

Meetings of similar nature are a common occasion at the NCFU Library, and this year’s discussion focused on the couture of Tajikistan.

Through the meeting, the students of this country told the audience about their couture, history, values, and everyday routine life. Besides, the event was accompanied with various presentations, music shows, and videos.

The second part of the event was no less interesting – the participants could enjoy various dishes of Tajik cuisine, and they enjoyed these indeed.

When talking about the event itself, one of the students noted that such meetings, especially involving students of English-speaking countries, are especially important, allowing everyone not only to get to know each other’s culture better yet also improve their communication and language skills.
