Training in London for Victory

Yaroslav Golubovsky (2ndyear, major: Translation Studies) has won the II Open Olympiad in English TRAINYOURBRAIN! held by Centre for career and studies abroad TravelWorks, the British Council, the Association of British Schools and the Language Centre Shane Global (London, GB).

The contest included two stages – Stage 1, where the participants first to complete a grammar test within 90 minutes as well as to write an essay on KEY TO SUCCESS – GOOD LUCK OR HARD LABOUR?, and Stage 2, where the tasks included a mini-presentation and six dialogues on relevant topics.

Now Yaroslav has earned a trip to London (Great Britain) to spend two weeks there perfecting his language skills at the Shane Global.

Last year’s winner – Violetta Gostischeva (NCFU), who already spent two memorable weeks in London, was part of the Jury that awarded al the finalists their prizes, certificates, as well as International Student Identity Cards (ISIC) accepted in 135 countries all over the world.
