Stavropol hosted the Conference Cultural Dimension of War – World War I in Images, Memory, and History, and the foreign participants at the event were Prof. Dr. Ferenc Szávai (Rector, Kaposvar University), Gábor Lehőcz (Director of International Department, Kaposvar University), Attila Kolontári (Coordinator of Programmes with NCFU, Kaposvar University), and Ashot Melkonyan (Director, Institute of History at Armenian Academy of Science).

Alina Levitskaya, Rector of NCFU, had a meeting with the foreign guests discussing both the current affairs (cooperation with Kaposvar Universityis underway) and future projects.

- The point that is especially meaningful is that the students of NCFU who have already visited the university in Hungary were absolutely happy with the classes they attended, - Alina Levitskaya was quoted as saying.

The Hungarian counterpart, in turn, mentioned that apart from cooperation between the Administrations of the Universities there is a lot of work going on between the academic staff.

Other issues discussed included instilling in students respect for not their own culture alone yet for the cultures of their neighbors, as well as enhancing their knowledge of the world history. This is tough work that takes joint effort, Ashot Melkonyan noted.

Finally Alina Levitskaya said that NCFU, Kaposvar University, and Institute of History at Armenian Academy of Science could become strategic partners for many years ahead.
